The France Brodeur Young Artists Award (FBYAA) had a successful first year in 2016 with applications from young artists over the summer and two eventual winners in Pamela Schilderman and Molly Lemon.
Both winners brought exactly the kind of passion in and technical curiosity to their work, that FBYAA is looking for.
After such a promising start, FBYAA will be offering a further round of awards in 2017. Watch out for news on this in February/March.
“The France Brodeur Young Artist Award has enabled me to create ‘Casket’; a project that is pivotal to my next body of work on identity.” Pamela Schilderman |

“The France Brodeur Young Artist Award has allowed me to experiment with the pressure printing technique by funding my purchase of new materials. Now with larger rollers and specialist papers I am able me to produce bigger prints with more detail. But most importantly this award has given me the courage to whole-heartedly invest in a full time career in art, something that I had not had the confidence to do prior to the award. Receiving the FBYAA has been an invaluable achievement and I am so thankful for the opportunity it has given me.” Molly Lemon |
